Generative Engine Optimization

A growing share of buyers never reach a results page. They ask an assistant. We make you the source it answers from.

What this includes

Entity and citation work

Making it unambiguous who you are and what you do, across the places models draw on.

Structured content

Pages built to be quoted: direct answers, clear scope, and schema that machines can parse.

Retrieval-friendly technical work

Crawlability, rendering, and markup, so a model can read the page rather than an empty shell.

Answer monitoring

Tracking what assistants actually say about you and your competitors, and what changes when you publish.

Four things that exist when we are done.

  1. An audit of how assistants currently describe you

  2. Structured data covering your organisation, services, and FAQs

  3. Content restructured so it can be quoted as an answer

  4. Repeat measurement, because model behaviour moves

Search is becoming an answer, not a list.

Ranking first matters less each quarter if the assistant summarising the page never names you. The work is making your business the source that answer is assembled from, and measuring whether it worked.

Questions we get asked

Ask us something else

GEO is the practice of getting your business cited inside AI-generated answers (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Claude) rather than only ranking in a list of links. It overlaps with SEO on technical fundamentals and diverges on format: assistants quote clear, well-structured, verifiable statements.

SEO competes for position in a list a person then chooses from. GEO competes to be the source a machine summarises. Both need crawlable, fast, well-structured pages; GEO puts more weight on unambiguous entity information, direct answers to real questions, and structured data.

No, and anyone promising it is selling something. Model outputs are probabilistic and change without notice. What we can do is measure how assistants describe you today, remove the reasons they get it wrong, and re-measure, so the work is judged on evidence rather than assertion.

Technical and structured-data fixes can land in one crawl cycle. Content and citation work is slower, generally a few months, because it depends on sources outside your own site being updated and re-indexed.
